Apparently all of the Cdn 4Runner Pros have been stuck at Port waiting on a back ordered part... my latest update is Oct 28-Nov 1st. (Originally Oct 1-5)

I've cast myself into the den of TrueCar wolves in hopes of getting a line on a 2020 ORP in Barcelona Red here in CA.
I have the YouMail app installed on my phone, so that should shield me well.
But how many calls am I going to get from dealers keen to sell me something I'm not going too buy? 2019 SR5 in MGM? No. No. And No.

I put off any involvement using truecar at first. I then ran into a block wall finding what I wanted, even resorting to contacting out-of-state dealers who were not serious about selling one this way. The costco program didn't work because no dealers had what I wanted in stock. Out of frustration I signed up for the true car service and got a call from the second closest dealer to me within 5 minutes. They didn't have one in stock ( I knew that because I was monitoring their inventory) but told me they had one due in in two weeks. Made the deal over the phone. Easy. I unsubscribed from the emails and haven't got another one since in over a year. Good Luck.
BTW that was the only dealer I heard from. The closest one to me blew off my emails until I bought mine. In it he said they were only getting a black version of what I wanted. Made it clear to them (since they will be my warranty dealer) I would have bought from them if they had what I wanted.

I had intended not to use TrueCar, since it seemed like I would be pouring my own blood into shark-infested waters.
But 4Runners are so very niche. The sharks are fighting over Camry purchases, etc.
I dealer about 30 miles away called me within 90 minutes of me posting my info to TrueCar. I'll hope my cynicism is misplaced.
The latest in my 2020 saga: The dealer emailed me today to let me know that Surprise! Those predator steps and rear sliding cargo deck aren't something they can just remove when the truck gets to them. However, they're going to honor the price as though they weren't installed, which in all honestly is not bad. I've got RSG sliders on the way so the steps will get yanked, but the sliding cargo deck will likely stay.
They said mine is destined to hit port on the 18th of November, so hopefully I'll have it by the end of the month.

Congrats!! That’s my big question does it sound really good or you like the big screen. Reason I ask I’m trading my 17 Pro in for 2020 Army green. That is one feature I hope is decent is the sound stage. Thanks
The audio is terrible IMO in my 2020 Pro. Granted I'm most recently coming from BMW's H/K and Audi's B&O, the sound quality is absolutely awful. The subwoofer and door speakers rattle badly if the volume is turned up past 30.
Satellite radio sounds the best, followed by CarPlay audio, and lastly Bluetooth audio - which is absolutely awful.
Small price to pay to have such an amazingly capable SUV.
Sat radio sounds the best? Sat radio is compressed so bad it's just awful on any sound system unless you stream it over the internet on a phone instead.
I have the JBL system in my 2016 Limited. The sub is pretty weak which I replaced with a Kicker 8in shallow sub and a separate amplifier. Doors/dash powered of OEM jbl amp still and I think it sounds just fine.
I know from having a lot of aftermarket audio systems in my vehicles I know this jbl is not going to compare what I’m use to listening to. But I chose not to upgrade my 17 Pro system because I would rather move to the 2020 and not tear my system apart. If I do any audio system first it will be in my 19 Z06. I guess I will have to listen to a jbl system before I decide to move up possibly.
