2020 TRD Pro Updates - Army Green & Push Button Start

Mine went from port in sept to railcar in oct to processing center in mid Oct. I have a vin.
My guy is telling me they are on hold for some type of quality check, could be something simple or more involved.

Same situation as me, I did some research on Toyota transportation logistics and their "Quality confirmation Hold" status and found this:
"Quality modification that can hold up vehicles at ports – ‘port mods’ – have also impacted the trucking fleet. “Port mods are when Toyota places vehicles on a quality confirmation hold. We wait until quality confirmations are satisfied before we can ship the units. For this situation, Toyota Transport focuses on vehicles that are ready to ship and moves them, so that once the other vehicles are signed over, they can be shipped as well.” "

That statement is pulled from this website:

So , with that information I'm assuming my car is getting a port modification due to me requesting to have the Toyota dash cam option.

My timeline was on AG TRD Pro was:

Oct 9-10: AG 4Runner showed up on AutoTrader at a dealer about 40 min away from me in Olathe, KS. They said it was coming in Oct. 28-Nov 7. I decided to wait to see in person before doing anything. Meanwhile worked to get my trade-in cleaned/fixed up just in case I wanted to pull the trigger on it. Told them to let me know when it was in and I would come take a look.
Oct. 24: was at a different nearby dealer and saw a Tacoma (already sold) in AG and loved it.
Oct. 28: went to the dealer getting the AG and came to terms on sale & my trade-in.
Oct. 30: the AG arrived at dealer in late afternoon.
Oct. 31: I picked it up.

Just took delivery of my Army Green TRDP yesterday!

Since there's been quite a few posts on timeline - here's mine.. (I'm in Michigan)

Deposit placed: Aug 1st
VIN/Build sheet received: Aug 6th
Build date: Aug 30th
Delivery to US port: Sept 23rd
Delivery to dealer: Oct 29th

Just to add - my TRDP did not have any port side options which could be the reason why it seemed to be delivered faster than some people.

I believe that's exactly it, my 4Runner originally had a delivery date of Oct 16th - 21st, but that date was removed after it went into "Quality Confirmation Hold" aka port modification.

Originally no, but now according to the Toyota "drivers Login" website, i do.
My Toyota Mobile App still does not reflect the dash cam as a "vehicle capability" yet.

I feel like I have some unhealthy relationship with my 4Runner, stalking it through social media (pc toyota site, and toyota mobile app ) to see when it changes, and then maybe I can finally see them.

I've had my VIN for like a month now but strangely the Toyota owner's app says "Specifications data is not available for this vehicle".

I put my vin into owners area on Toyota site and the only thing it gave me was that it was in port! Talked to my contact at dealer they are frustrated as well!

Put my vin into the Toyota site and basically only said 2020 Pro in CV7 color and AA750F tranny. Everything else including options is blank.

Was waiting for my VIN but got a text with pictures my truck arriving at the dealer! Can pick it up next week.

I’m thinking of adding dealer installed Toyota (Fuji) dash cam.. I’ve heard it’s decent. Any reviews?

Also if anyone installed Cornfed 1.5" Front / 1" rear kit and can provide some insight/measurements for the complete height it would be great. Really don’t want to take FJ rack off just yet . Need to fit under 6’7" garage door.

Absolutely love the ride on 34's. Wasnt sure what kind of power loss I'd be getting with a 60lb tire but the vehicle handles them well with the sprint booster.

Mine is stuck in Chicago. Been there for a month because of dash cam option. Dealer has literally NO idea when it will be release!

so i just left another NY dealership, and the only explanation i got was that NC, FL, TX for example are big truck states... so toyota ships out the first batch of TRD PROS to them because it’s more in demand.
As far as us in NYC , we won’t see a TRDP until JANUARY.

I’m in PA and have been told my truck is hitting port on the 18th and I’d have it by end of the month. I’m skeptical it’s going to make it to my dealer in under 2 weeks but I’m keeping hope alive.

Got my AG Trd Pro

Got my AG TRDP this past Thursday, at dealership on PA-DE state line. Deposit mid Aug, built 8-26, port 9-26, delivered to dealer 11-6, bought 11-7. Dealer told me they don’t have any idea when more AG’s are coming in to his dealership. Cheers
