Thanks for the link. That’s so efing stupid and lame. Why bother getting a specialty color then. Maybe for 2022 they can rehash the inferno and sand colors.

I'm going to the kitchen to get another glass of wine... I cant take this anymore..
If that ends up being true it’ll be kind of disappointing. IMO the coolness of the special color is how its usually something unique to vehicles in general and not boring, aka whites, blacks, grays. Inferno and cav blue have always been my favorites. Obnoxious colors like inferno just seem right on the 4Runner lol.

Finally! I've been holding out on upgrading the headlights hoping this would happen. If they're priced like the Tundra lights, we should be able to get a set for under $1k (less than some of the aftermarkets...)
The only catch is going to be the wiring - the Tundra's take an adapter harness to fully function.

I am genuinely surprised that Toyota (being Toyota) decided to introduce these so late into the 5th gen platform. Honestly figured that the technology would have been introduced in the next gen lol

I am not - it's still two model years (21, 22) till we get a 6th generation and Toyota kept the LED lights from releasing for the 20 MY to have something exciting to announce for 21.
I bet MY 22 will get some heritage stuff to phase out the 5th Gen

Wait I thought the 6th gen is coming out soon (2021)? Where did you read this? if this is true that is comical, this truck is so outdated its embarrassing given the cost.

Seeing as 4Runner sales have exploded over the past 10 years and used prices are stiff the truck is priced correctly.
Real 4Runner fans don't want a new truck.
looking for a another suv or truck, wife currently has the 17 SR blacked out with TRD pro shocks, and trd skid plate (painted black). Love the look of the suv but do like the cement and army green colors. Trade it for a trd off or just upgrade to the LED headlights. SUV is paid off and has only 37k miles.

Can't say I'm impressed. It's almost a re-run of cement, which is already being devalued with the "Trail" edition anyway.

cement and lunar rock do not look like the same color in person.
Lunar rock has a lot more blueish green tint/pigment/metallic to it which makes it change color in different light conditions. The cement is a base color that doesn't really change color depending on lighting conditions.
lunar rock is offered on the 2020Rav4... go find one of those on your lot and check it out in person. In person it's a pretty sharp color....
I was personally hoping for a dark green or galactic aqua mica at least, oh well.
I'm guessing lunar rock and other celestial colors will be popular for the next decade with the renewed interest in space exploration and the Artemis mission in 2024.
