2024 DRL as High Beam Mod

I did some searching and found a few threads where people were creating extra circuits and adding switches to use the DRL as a high beam.

After much reading I decided I did not want to create any new circuits and decided to beta test direct power and ground from the high beam harness and abandoning the DRL harness all together.

Excuse the Scotchloks they are temporary for the MVP, phase two I am going to source the harness and make a direct plug.

On to the pics:

I went with the [MENTION=484381]Diode Dynamics[/MENTION] SL2 pro.
These bulbs are hard to beat for light output and no error messages.

For power and ground I went straight to the harness from the LED headlight

And tapped right in to the power/ground

This triggers the "DRL" bulb as full power high beams along with the factory LED high beams when the stalk is in in the high beam position. It also works as flash to pass with no issue.

To be clear, all this is working with no error messages and no ill effects to the lighting.

Spare me your "the housing isn't made for that" or "you already have LEDs high beams" ... more light is better.

I'll also combine this with a set of SS3 pros in the fog light slot, then really make you mad when I mod it to have high beam and fogs on together.

All jokes aside, the goal here is factory look, factory wiring, and factory switches, with maximum output.

How are you liking the DD bulbs? Worth it?
