I have a 1986 4Runner with 119,000 original kms on a 22re engine.
For as long as I can remember, you can hear quite a loud squeal come from the engine bay as the engine passes about 4200 - 4500 rpm until redline. I suspect it is belt squeal, however, the belts were changed last year, and the truck has only been driven about 10,000 km since then, and it had the same noise coming from the previous belts.
I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this problem, and what solution, if any, they had for it.
