22RE timing help

I've looked through the forums and haven't found what I need, I do realize this is a common topic. My problem is, the underhood stickers are missing, so I don't have all the info I need. 1988 22RE, I timed the engine without jumping the two connectors in the diagnostics port (didn't know I was supposed to until recently). I have little horsepower, barely makes it to 50. When I bought it, I drove it home at 70 and it felt like it had more to give. I re-timed it because it wouldn't pass emissions, it has now. I know which wires to jumper, but I can't find where I need to set the timing at when it's jumped. And where should it be after I pull the jumper out? obviously this is gonna change or they wouldn't make you do it. I really would like to be able to drive this at at least 60. and being able to go up hills would be nice too. :D

I'd like to thank everyone who helped me get my runner running.... hmm. There were a lot so can't name them all. Turns out it wasn't the fuel pump, fuel damper, fuel regulator. It was my timing, running about 7degrees advanced, not much power, got it timed up and was able to hit 80, and cruise at 70. Much nicer then 50.
