Has anybody else looked into these?

The goodyear website is now listing Duractracs in a 255/75/17 size. But I have not been able to find these in stock anywhere. Even my local goodyear authorized shops can't special order them...

I work at Goodyear and I just looked it up, and the DuraTrac's are not available in that size... our website sucks at times!

I've looked at Silent Armors quite a bit in the 255/75, I like them but i think they've been discontinued or limited production because not alot of companies offer them compared to the other goodyear lines. I mean when I can get duratracs for $150 cheaper than the SA's it's an easy choice.

Looking at the specs on tirerack the SA's weight is 43lbs each and they have the duratracs listed at 35lbs each. That can't be right.

Worked out great, ran like a top for 8000 miles.
In fact with the better gas mileage I got between the Airaid and the new muffler I think just the one trip darn near paid for both in gas savings.

Well I made a mistake at first and did not heed clear warnings about the larger Magnaflow. (The shorter ones under 19" are probably fine)
So I had the Magnaflow on the trip, which worked fine, sounded fine but didn't last 1000 miles before it started rattling because of a blatant design flaw.
What happens is there are 2 inner tubes that are perforated and I assume welded together, that weld WILL break and then the two tubes rattle together, doesn't hurt the performance I don't think but you sound like you are dragging coffee cans full of rocks behind your truck.

Still got the mileage improvement but just had to endure the rattling for 7000 freaking miles, fortunately it only rattled at idle mostly.

BUT when I got home I sent that garbage back got a full refund and bought a Borla and it sounds great, works great and no design flaw.

wow that's crazy it failed so quickly. Just from this forum it seems most have negative experiences with magnaflow.

I ordered a flowmaster dbx muffler on advance auto using one of their 40% coupons should be here friday. I'm excited to get it installed and see what sound and mpg improvements i get. The PO got a vatozone special welded straight on the exhaust flange in front of the rear axel and it sounds like theres a leak so definitely ready for the upgrade. Your borla sounds good too!
 
Thinking the same thing...

I was looking at the Cooper AT3's in 255/75/17 until I was over at Discount Tire this weekend and they said they could get the Duratracs in the same size... I am seriously considering them now as well...

They mentioned they have a Memorial Day sale (something like $70 back on a full set of tires on top of the Goodyear prepaid Visa you get back for the full set of tires)

If you pull the trigger on yours before then, I'd sure like to see pics of them on your rig.

tire rack has the duratracs for 159 a piece... with the discount or mail in rebate, its a pretty darn good deal. Im pretty confused with tires right now... I am drawn to the bfg mud terrain
