So I have had these sitting in the garage for the past few years. I was going to wait until August when my inspection was due to install them but the Dunlops were pretty bad and I had at least one nail so I said wtf I have a day off I might as well use it.
Initial impressions: I saw a lot of pics on here but when I saw it in person I was shocked how "meaty" they looked. My Dunlops were pretty worn down (almost bald really) so my 4R is a bit higher now with these on. Def time for a lift though! They are a bit noisier than stock tires at most speeds but I was cruising with the radio off to listen for rubbing or other issues. None to report, and in my area I have to make lots of u-turns on a daily basis. With the radio on Im not sure I would even notice the noise. The shop balanced them well, no veering or strange vibrations at 70 mph. Need to try them out off road stat!
Ive held off on modding this but it is a slippery slope indeed. Picked up a Volant CAI for $250 + $20 MIR, looking hard at an OW 2.0 kit now.
