255/75/17 tires with spacers? Spare tire?

With 255/75/17, I know they will not rub with a 3/2 ome lift but will they rub with 1 inch spacers? If not, whats the max spacer I can put in there with no rubbing or very little trimming?

Also, Do I have to have a 255/75/17 spare or will I be able to use my 265/65/17 tire as a spare to get me some where to fix my tire? Thanks!

One more question, will a 265/75/17 fit with no rubbing? I looked at the FAQ that shows what tires fit with what lifts but that tire size is not there. Thanks.

265/75/17 isn't very common, not sure on the fitment there. With 255/75/17's and 1.25" spacers, I had to move the fender liner forward and remove the front mud flaps to get rid of the rubbing. With 1" or .75" spacer, I'm not sure what rubbing you'd encounter. You can use the stock spare for short distances, shouldn't be a problem. Jeeps use 255/75/17's stock, it's pretty easy to find a used tire for cheap, wouldn't be a bad idea.

I was looking at the sticky for lifts/tires and it doesnt say 255/75/17s rub with a 3/2? I was also considering 275/70/17 which it also says does not rub with a 3/2 lift but now I am second guessing due to your experience with the 255s and the 275's are bigger

There will only be rubbing with wheel spacers. Before the spacers there was no rubbing at all.

I have that tire size and no rubbing. I took off the front mud flap though... but i had my tires before the daystar for about a week and lots of rubbing in the passenger fender liner... But I don't have spacers either.
