255/85/16 Maxxis guys... what psi do you run?

What psi do you run for your 255/85/16 under various conditions? Thanks!

Daily driving. 38 to 40
4 wheeeling. 20
I’ve seen some people go down to 15 also.
On my second set of bighorns. Rotate 5 wheels every 5000 miles.

These are my numbers. I’m sure there will be some people on here telling me how I’m doing it wrong.

Thanks for the info. Tire place set them at 29 psi. I'm getting vibrations at 65-72 mph. Any balancing issues with either of your sets? Kind of not digging the tires because of the vibrations.

Follow Brads numbers, That tire size for highway use needs that amount of air.
Plus inflating them correctly might just solve your vibration, if not get them balanced again. You might have gotten a bad tire or two or three also.

As others have stated 38-40 when driving, and 18-25 when wheeling. Mine wore horribly and I personally would never buy them again, even with a free tire and warranty on all 4. Thank goodness I sold them on my previous vehicle =)

Sorry to read that.
At 38 to 40 psi, I can cruise at 65 to 70 mph with no vibrations from the tires.

If you 4 wheel, it is a good idea to have the wheels weights installed on the inside of the rim, that is the side facing the engine. This helps prevent a rock scraping off the weights. This has helped me. And this was an idea from another way more advanced wheeler from ttora.org

I dig my tires and stock wheel combo with the TBU. The only thing I do not like about them is some minor frame rub from the oversized tires hitting the frame at extreme turning. Hope to fix this with new offset rims next time I purchase new tires.
