Looking for someone running 255/85/16 on a 3rd gen with stock suspension. May end up buying a set of these and running them on bilstein hds with 99 coils. just wanting to see what it looks like and what kid of cutting you have to do?

Good luck on your journey for this picture my friend.

This will be a short journey

Good luck on your journey for this picture my friend.
This made me laugh because I had one hellacious time trying to find some when I was deciding on doing 255s or 265s because I couldn't afford a lift yet.

I have a 97 with stock suspension and 255/85s. Mine for some reason has a little bit of taco lean to it. I have 99 rear coils that I haven't installed yet, and I'm hoping to pick up a used set of SAW's in a few weeks and when I do, crank them to about .5" - 1" and install the 99s in the rear.

I have had to do 0 trimmming (no limited / sr5) flares. I beat the pinch welds in as far as I could, could probably go at it a few more times to get max clearance there. I don't have many "flexed out pics" due to me and the wife usually don't focus on picture take, just having fun. But here's what I have at sitting still and a few wheeling. Unfortunately the wheeling pictures are without sliders and I wasn't feeling very brave that day. We've gone a few more times and I've done a few places significantly "tougher" than this, but like I said, we don't take very many pictures.

I have gotten them to rub... won't lie, but it's only been at almost full compression and with the wheel turned. Hope you Enjoy. If I left anything out you'd like to know... ask away.

**Edit**: Also the fronts are significantly more worn than the brand new rears. I would assume when you add more tread with a new set of fronts, I will have more rubbing. But hoping to fix that with the SAWs eventually.
Fronts: Probably around 30% left give or take a few %'s
Rears: 99% (few months old and not a DD)

I say do it. I haven't regretted it yet!

Nice! I've always loved the look of big tires with little to no lift. I almost regret putting in my lift sometimes. I loved the look of my truck with 265.75.16 guard dogs, 1.25" wheel spacers and stock suspension.

Am in the same boat. I can't lift right now. But wanna run bigger tires. Or might just go to the cheap way and just do spacers.
