265/70/17 BFG KO2's on Stock Suspension

I read through multiple pages on the lift thread, awesome resource! My question seems to get mixed opinions however. I have a 2005 Limited V8 4X4. I want to get 265/70/17 ko2s and not have to cut anything on the truck to make them fit.Not opposed to lifting but want the tires first to see what can be done in stock form and go from there.

Does anyone run these tires? The post about tires I read in that long thread said this tire size would fit stock but then the k02s had asterisks by them. Lol of course they did!

I'm running 265/70/17 wildpeaks on my 214k mile stock suspension 05 without much rubbing at all. I know you were looking for KO2s but hopefully this info is helpful. I do have +15 offset FJ wheels (stock 4th gen wheels are +30 offset), so that may change things up. Mine would rub the front side of the fender liner slightly at full lock when turning and the car was at an angle, but nothing I couldn't live with. I stretched the fender liner this weekend and there's no more rubbing.

Hey! I ran these exact tires on stock XREAS suspension on my '04 sport edition. No lift, stock sport rims, stock UCAs, and NO RUBBING.

You should be clear no worries.

I’m running 265/70/17 Falken wild peaks on 2020 TRD off road wheels on my 2008 sr5. I have bilstein 5100 up front set to the lowest setting (just enough to level).

With the KO2 and the wild peaks, it’s the width that causes rubbing. The tread profile isn’t rounded over like most tire models so that edge profile catches on the fender liner.

Mind would rub at near full lock, so i did two things. I removed the mud flaps and I shifted the front fender liners forward. That solved the problem completely. You can find a handful of write ups on here about moving the liners. You’ll need a 3/8” drill bit, drill, and a Phillips screw driver, and 5-10 minutes.

Take the plunge! If you have rubbing, it’s an easy fix.

The fronts will rub, BAD when turning. I currently have this set up and also have Bilstein 5100's with new springs for the front for a 2" PROPER lift to correct it to be installed. Good luck finding a mechanic that will install spacers on rusty 10+ year old front struts, and when they break ties up their lift and the easy out is new XREAS struts for thousands and you still have tires that rub.

I have them on and getting zero rubbing so far for anyone who is curious. This is a 4x4 V8 limited no Xreas, bone stock 35k original miles.

Been hitting speed bumps in forward and reverse with wheels turned in both directions. only thing I can think is maybe the limited wheels have a different offset than the sport possibly? all I know is for future reference it works I would post some pictures but every time I try to upload them I get an error message on this website.

I'll check it out I just am uploading a video right now I'll post in a minute. I was walking my dog down the street from my house and I saw it sitting in the driveway of some new houses. I had never seen it before and I asked the gentleman who was in the garage if he was interested in selling it. A week later I drove it home. I need to post a thread about it it truly is amazing it's so original I can't believe it!

I'm new here, but have been through posting on other auto and boat forums and have been able to load images here with no problem. As a long-time Photoshop user, what I've done is to take my large, multi-megabyte images from phone or camera and downsize 'em to something around 500K (half a mb) in Photoshop on my laptop. For me that usually works out to about a 4x6 or 5x7 inch image at 200 pixels per inch as JPEGs. If you don't want to go through that hassle, then some of our smart phones can downsize images either in phone or while sending 'em. As my Droid died, I'm forced to do the camera to Photoshop to forum gig on my laptop at present. Hope that helps.:smashputer:

Not K02s but just put Falken Wildpeaks AT3 on my 08 V8 stock height (~100k miles XREAS).

265/70/17 on 17” Trail TRD wheels, had slight rubbing on the fender liners (pushed them up about 1.5”) no other rubbing now.
