265/70/17 Cooper Stts vs 285/70/17 Cooper Stts

Can folks give me the low down before I make the purchase on 5 new Coopers???

I have my 3/2 on the way. The only concern I have is that I want the tire to look good in the wheel well with my lift.

I keep swaying back and forth. Any good pictures or info????? Anyone???

It looks 100 times better now that I went to 285's. Too bad I didn't do it in the first place, then I wouldn't have had to sell 5 tires with only 12K miles on them.

265/70=31.9"
285/70=33"


I'd go for the 285's but you will not be able to fit a spare in the stock location without some mods. So you'll need to make some decisions. A 275/70/17 mud terrain tire will fit

Check out Pro-med's T4ROTM thread. He has 275/65/18 STT 's That will give you an idea of how good a larger tire looks.

Look into the 255/75/17 BFG Mud Terrains; they're only $96 per tire and end up being slightly over 32 inches.
