I have them and they fit pretty mint. Mine are on +15 FJ trail edition wheels, so slightly more offset than the stock +30. I stretched the fender liner, but it wasn't really needed. They only rubbed when full lock turning off angle or slowing quickly and turning for a uturn. But nothing I would really worry about.

i have 265/70/17 on stock sport rims without a lift & they dont rub at all anywhere. a lot depends on the tire too, wildpeaks & BFG KO etc have very aggressive tread that sticks out further than other A/T tires, a true highway tire shouldnt have any issues. also depends on how far the front is sagging but in general that size tire should fit without any issues on most stock 4runners.

If I may hijack this to ask a similar question, I have a stock 06 Sport Edition.
I have winter tires on my wheels right now, and did away with my old AT as they were on their last leg.
I have come across a pair of Falken Wildpeak AT3 265/70/17 tires on Toyota FJ Cruiser 6x139.7 wheels.
If I understand correctly my stock wheels are 17x7.5. Should I get these FJ wheels and tires? Will they fit without any rub or spacers needed, and would the ride benefit a bit with the narrower tires?
I only do casual camping, no serious offroading and mostly drive up to ski mountains.

See my pictures in post #2 of this thread, they fit well. Those are Early 5th gen/FJ trail edition wheels in my pics, but all of the newer toyota 17" wheels (with the exception of the TRD wheels) are 17x7.5 +15, just like the ones I have. Yep those are +15 offset, so same specs as mine just look different. They'll fit great with a little fender liner stretch, and may only rub in reverse at full lock without the stretch. It was definitely livable without stretching mine, but I've got an angled driveway that I need to turn sharply in reverse, so I got tired of it after a while
I've been happy with the falken wildpeaks too, so you should be all set!
