265/70/18 Tires Discussion on Stock truck

Shopping for new tires Michelin LTX M/S2
Wanted 265/65/18's but they are not in stock
They have 265/70/18 in stock
My truck is stock.
Will I have fitment issues?
I'd like to hear your input, let's chat...

I know speedo, handling, ride height and maybe mpg's and braking will be effected.
I also know this is not that common of a tire size for this forums. I welcome any input...

I was trying to go larger than the 265/65/18 but from the research I have done that will rub. The largest I have seen fit is the 265/65/18 and some people rub with those. So my thought is the 265/70/18 will definitely rub.

265/65/18 are 31.5, the 265/70/18 are 32.6 depending on brands, without any lift , id say u will rub & need to move the liner forward & maybe trim some.

I have brand new spidertax spacers istting in the garage for six months I can use.
I also wonder if a front leveling kit will clear the tires

Even after pushing liners forward all the way, I still get minor rubbing during near-full-lock turning or going up into driveways with the wheels turned, with only 265/70/17. So I'm getting 1" leveling spacers for the front to eliminate the problem. I would say you'd probably want leveling spacers or to do some minor trimming with 265/65/18, and will need to do even more trimming and use 1.5" or 2" spacers for 265/70/18.

Let us know if they rub at all, I don't think they will but they might just a little. Like I said earlier some people with the BFG's rub and others don't.

plus loss in power because are 70

I have the 265/65/18 MS2s with spidertraxx and 1" level kit (2" lift) and i rubbed like a sum***** when i turned on the way home from having them installed. I pushed the liner forward and cut the mudflap in half (long ways) and was able to clear. Haven't rubbed since.

Just FYI everyone, i just had these 265/70/17 Duratracs installed an hour ago, stock height, no wheel spacers, and ABSOLUTELY NO RUBBING ANYWHERE, Full lock side to side. Imo, this shoulda been tje stock size tire on the 4th gen. Pics:

Heres also a pic from behind the tire by the UCA to show the clearance, I can fit my index finger behind every point in this pic. No spidertrax needed.

have you tried flexing the suspension to see how well they'll tuck into the front fender?

Nothin serious yet, but they stuff pretty damn well for stock suspension
