Miguelon you need to understand that the wheel is the metal thing in the middle that the rubber tire is mounted to.

Next time my friends and I go "wheeling" I will make sure and point that out.

I'm glad this post was started I have been itching to get a set of 20" fifth gen wheels. I was gunna start a post to see if anyone had run a 275-65-20 or a 285-65-20 on that rim.

Make sure you also point out that the names of just about every company that produces wheels has "wheel" in their name. They don't make tires, they make wheels.

You're probably used to calling them "rims", but that's just one part of the actual wheel assembly if you want to get technical about it.:doh:

I always hate large wheels on trucks, but that actually looks good. However, I agree with the above. I would be very nervous about damaging a wheel or pinch flatting the tire against the rim off road.

Pinch flats are only possible with a tubed setup. I suspected you were a cyclists even before seeing your avatar. haha

You are definitely correct in that I mountain bike, but pinch flats are still very possible without tubes. Just as a tube can get pinched between the tire and the edge of the rim, a tire in a tubeless setup can also get cut (ie pinch flat) by compressing against the rim.

It's happened too many times to count on my trail bike (now running heavy as **** super gravity casing schwalbe's because of this) and it happened to my friends duratrac when he romped through a rock garden way too fast in his 4runner

5th gen ltd rims are 20x7. Not sure if 285s can fit on it.

Yeah that's what I was wondering if 285 65 20 ( 34.4x11.5) would be possible to mount on a 7 wide rim.

There is howeever people running around with 275 65 20's on the limited wheels. 34x10.8?

I like this much better. Leave the low profile stuff on cars. But to each their own.

Just wondering if you have more pics of the runner with this set up (20" 5th gen ltd wheels), what tires those are and what lift you are running. Also do you have wheel spacers? Thanks
