Center Console Swap question

Hi guys,

So I have everything in the pic below. I dont know why I keep finding consoles and components but not the bucket that the brake attaches too. Does anyone have that bucket? will buy it, or trade the non heater console ( with no lid ) for it. I don't know the proper name for it or where to find that piece. Thanks!

What is the bucket you are referring to? Looks like the park brake lever got its mounting points.

I think he's referring to the actual bin insert that holds all the junk that we forget is in there.

I went on ebay and took this screenshot off someone elses post. Its the plate that holds the handbrake cable maybe?? Is it even necessary? I was told I needed this piece and I am missing it so I've been on the hunt haha. If I don't need it though, then gravy!

To be honest, I don't think you need it, at least from what I remember, I thought I saw someone make it work without replacing it. If you want to test for yourself, you could always try taking everything apart and seeing if you can make it fit. Worst case, all I think is different is where the hole is, so you could drill one, patch the other with a weld, call it a day

That's what you need, it's called the "bracket, cable support". It anchors the end of the parking brake cable jacket. It sandwiches between ebrake lever assembly and floor of truck. They are discontinued from Toyota, so only source would be used...

Ah, I see what you are looking for now...

I don't think you need it?
When I did my swap on my '98, instead of drilling new holes when the handbrake gets kicked off to the side,
I cut/extended the front portion of the brake bracket to match the existing hole. Rear was unmodified.
I do not recall needing to address the actual cable mount/bracket.

When I did mine on 97, I did not drill any holes or got a different bucket. What he has in the first pic is all I got.

I did the same swap on my 96 Hilux Surf, I couldn't find that bracket at the time either. So far, no problems with the original bracket, I haven't noticed any rubbing or binding on the cable.

I helped a friend do a swap and I dont remember that particular part. I do think we had to bend something slightly.

I know there are plenty of wirte ups on this forum in google search above, just type 3rd gen console swap
