275/65r18 on 2008 4runner

I found a sweet deal on some tires, is this even a possible fit on the 2008?

I called a local place and they said they would have to test fit.

Has anyone tried this, I have been unable to find much with the search function.

Thanks in advance

Are you lifted? How much?

Maybe, but you might need to move front fender forward.

I ran 275/65/18s. Without a lift, I'd imagine you'd need to remove the mud flap and move the front inner fender liner. I ran mine with a 2.5 inch lift. You can check my build thread for pictures.

Another option is the 265/65/18 size, those won't rub on stock height.

Stock height. Due to xreas system.

It is about 3 inches to low for my liking. I just dont have the cash for a. 5100 redo.

So is this something spacers would fix or is that just a crappy fix or not applicable?

I'm looking at a set of 275/70/17. Will it rub? I have daystar 2.5/1.5 and spidertrax 1.25 wheel spacers... no mud flaps

not saying your size search is bad but another tall tire option is a 255/70/18.

I don't think the 18" rim makes any difference, just the dimensions of the wheel well limits how big and wide you can go

18" rim means you will just have less sidewall...

275/65/18 is a 32.1" tire.

I just stuffed a 255/75/17 on mine and that is also a 32.1" tire...

With a 2" lift i still get a little rub on the front fender at full lock, but it fits.

I would actually be a little cautious about the wheels backspacing and how close that tire is going to be to the upper control arm with a 275.

Bumbo do you have any wheel spacers?

hell no...

If I need to increase the track, id buy new rims and run the correct offset / backspacing.

That said, I had 16" SR5 rims, and changed them to 17" FJ rims which did have a little more offset increasing the overall track by a very small amount. Each rim is also 0.5" wider so you also see that on the outboard side.

Going off my own measurements using calipers... not published measurements, I am about 0.31" wider per side. Increasing the track by only 0.62 inches. Not much, but its all I needed to feel better about my tire to UAC clearance. Note that measurement does not account for the FJ rim being wider as well, so you can add another 1/2" per side to the above.

Yeah I'd like to eventually get some new wheels but right now the spidertrax is the best option for me

No, they won't move stuff around, but if you dig around T4R.org there are many that have moved their inner fender forward. I think it's as simple as removing a bolt, drilling a hole 1" forward and reattaching fender: if there is rubbing.

Yes, a 275 should fit in the spare. Others have stuffed deflated 285's as well with a bit of work.

Thanks to everyone and powder hound.

I am gonna get these tires... If I have problems I will just have to possibly invest in a spacer lift.... But I like the raked look. I hate flat 4runners... Once you toss in 1000lbs of corn..... Saggy ass 4runner lol.

Damned xreas. Got a quote for a 2.5back 1 front daystar spacer install. They want 585+tax. Does that sound right?

Did you ever go with these tires? Before lifting?
