Anyone every run 275/70/17 on a stock 02 suspension? I was wondering is this setup would fit without a lift. There's a bunch rocking this on a 4-5th gen but does anyone have this on a stock 3rd gen

I had to do a 2" lift and I still get run when I turn half way and hit some thing like a pothole or a steep driveway

I tried 1" spacers to have the tires pop out some more but that gave me some serious run on the firewall so away they went lol
 
With some fender liner trimming, an aligment to push the caster out a bit and some massaging at the firewall, I could see that size fitting with no problems.

Really??? I got a 2" lift and I still rub on occasion, I'm guessing with a stock suspension you would be screwed

Depends what you're rubbing on and what you're willing to do to clearance it, at some point you'll run out of room, but 285's and smaller should be no problem, either trim or ditch the fender liner, clearance the firewall as needed and you should be fine, washer bottle would be the next thing to hit.

You've also got to remember no matter how high you lift it, with IFS you don't gain any clearance except at ride height, your tires still compress and arc through the same area as stock, and you scrub radius when turning remains the same.

I'm going to be running my 35x13.50's on around 3" of lift in the front soon, and I will be fully clearing them, stuffed and turned, with no mini-tubs in the firewall, just hammering.

Exactly what underfire said. If you can't clear your tires with stock suspension, you won't clear your tires with a lift. I put 33" tires on mine with no lift all last summer. Just gotta do trimming and hammering to fit. It should be pretty easy to clear for 275/70r17 tires

What if you got a 1" body lift or spacers?? Would that work

It is quite possible. But I am not 100% sure on that. I believe someone said they work with about 2" of lift so maybe the body lift would work. And spacers, are you talking about wheel spacers or suspension spacers for lift? If for the lift I would try to stay away from them. I ran them for a while and while they were never a problem for me, I think that saving some extra $ for a legit lift (coils and what not) would be the best way to go. I have read it many times on here... Just spend a little extra $ up front and only do it once. If wheel spacers, I can not comment bc I do not run those either. I think your best bet is to get at least 2" of lift and go from there. Best of luck!
 
I have a 2.5" lift with those tires running on 17x8 +0 wheels and I have a slight rub when suspension is compressed while turning, while mine is bearable, I think at stock height it won't be
