285/70/17 OEM tundra rims 4runner 3"lift fit

I've tried searching but can't find a direct answer. Will OEM 17 tundra rims w 285/70/17 wild peak tires fit on 3rd gen 4runner with 3" lift (TRD/lc lift). I've read that the UCA may rub idk anyone with this setup please chime in. I dont have wheels spacers.

Dont want to mount tires to end up not clearing. Lol. Thanks

I'm running Tacoma Rims on 265's with a 2.5" lift and it rubs a little on the inside on sharp turns. It'll happen most likely to you as well but it won't be too bad. I don't have it happen unless I throw a super hard u-turn. It's just the way any OEM rim mounts. They sit pretty darn close in which leads to some horizontal issues but vertical should be fine.

It depends on the back spacing of the 17" wheel. I know the Tacoma wheel is like 5in. Back spacing.
Are you running spacers? Do you have aftermarket uca's?
I am also considering running the same size tire. I know there are people on here running that size. Just google

Lol am completely stock except for 3" lift I have the tundra/sequoia wheels on my truck now with stock tires at p265/65/17 grabbed a set of wild peaks 90% tread left 285/70/17 for a great price. Just want to make sure they clear before I pay shop to swap the tires.

I know this sounds odd but most trucks are different, most rub, some don't. you will most likely rub on the pinch welds, but the biggest concern is your UCAs. Most use spacers or new UCAs to fix that problem.

I got a chance to install the 285/70/17 on the tundra rims. Had to shave an inch or so off the upper control arm besides that fit like a glove.

If you ground down the UCA, I hope you welded in a piece of steel to reinforce what you took off. That could make for a very dangerous situation if you haven't.

Nope I didn't lol not my daily driver and trying to figure out a drive line vibration as well. Just wanted to get the tires on so I can see how much I need off will definitely clean it up and secure the hole this weekend. Thanks for the heads up. Lol

I ran Tundra rims with 285 Nitto Terra Grapplers without spacers for a short amount of time, but they were very close and I didn't do any wheeling. It is better to get some spacers are the last thing you want to do is rub the inner tire with the UCA and ruin your tires.

Edit: Nevermind, saw that you got them mounted. Good luck with the clearancing.
