285/70/17 With Cornfed 1.5/1 Spacers

If you check the OP’s posts you will see that he sold his 1.5/1” spacers and upgraded to 2.25/2” spacers with a larger 285/75-17 tire. I have the 1.5/1” Cornfed lift on my Pro and I am considering a 285-70-17 myself. My center of hub to top of the inner fender arch up front is 22.5” and 23” in the back. I am currently running 275’s.

I have this same setup on the same exact truck and I wish I had gone with 285/70's to begin with. That said, I am planning on King's and 285/75's here soon.

I am looking at doing this exact set up (1.5" front / 1" rear with 275 KO2's). What do you not like about the current setup and makes you want the 285s? I see that the 2" front / 1.5" rear with 285s is the most popular option on the forum. Let me know your thoughts on why you are regretting the 1.5/1 with 275s setup when you get a chance.

Looks good .. I did the same but with 2/1.5 CF’s, nitto rg’s and black spidertrax 1.25”. I was able to keep all my flaps.

For the same price as 275, you’ll get a little bit more width and height. For me, it was filling out the fenders more. But of course you’ll need to trim the bumper, push the liner and or flatten the mud flaps or even take them off to avoid any contact.

I’ve been running 1.5/1” Cornfed spacers for almost 18 months now. No issues. Just stepped up last week to 285/70-17’s a week ago without any mods or clearance issues at light to moderate articulation. I think the 2/1.5” is probably the perfect place to start, but, I am very happy that I did not have to upgrade. The Pro fender liner/bumper mod combined with the Pros 7” wheel and offset, seems to negate a lot of clearance issues. Never had issues airing down with my 2001 4Runner with 285’s on the OEM 7” wheel. The 285 fills out the wheel well perfectly. IMO

I just ordered the Cornfed 2"/1" with hopes to change the stance a little and hopefully put those 285's on it. I need to do some more research on here about the bumper trim before I get too crazy.

It came with the TRD wheels with a set of those Goodyear Duratracs on it at 33K. Dang those things are loud. I'm going to rotate them and see how they do, they are cupped a bit on the outside, up front, maybe a rotation will help a little.
