285 G.Y. MTR & what tire pressure are you running?

I've got the 285/75r16 Goodyear Wrangler MTR's and having difficulty getting the tire pressure right.

Since we all are pretty much the same weight wise, what tire pressure are you running?

I'm down to 30 lb's all the way around and still only riding on the middle of the tire.

How low can we go to get a good footprint and still be at a safe street pressure?
These tires have a max 65 psi on the sidewall.

any chance your running stock or 7'' wide wheels. I could see you having this problem with a wheel that is too skinny for the tire you have.

and by the way I have km2's with load range E, they say 80 psi on the side. I run 30 or less. You are safe basically at any psi. I wouldnt really want to drive with them lower than 15, because they will wear out

Yes, I am running the stock 5star's.

idk. but just think about how it effects the tread. Your tire is 11.5" wide on a 7" wide wheel. it forces the tread to convex. basically its like a ballon tire

All true.

An opposite effect will be had by running a narrower tire than the rim, but people do it.

Still, I know there are a lot of 285 - ers running stock rims.

i'm on after market rims and same tires, running whatever the tire shop left it at, please, keep this thread on topic, as i'm interested in what people psi are running as well.
-thanx!
