285 on stock rims

are 285 75 16 tires ok on the stock 7 inch rim? or is that getting to narrow

It wont work without wheel spacers you will have major rub on upper control arm

It's fine in terms of working with the rim, I run 315's on stock 5 stars. But rm2fast is correct, you'll need wheel spacers.

thanks guys. all i needed to know was about the rims. i just did 1inch body, got a 3inch suspention and wheel spacers on the way. i think this should all be ok for a start. just ran out of cash. rims will need to wait a bit

a good idea is a good idea. what would be involved to do that right?
that wont slow it down to much?

it would be on the downside with power with stock gears im on 33s and 3 inch toytec lift 4 inch backspaced wheels..im a limited so i have the large flares and dont rub, im throwing on 2 inch body lift and 35s as soon as i get the parts. ill be on stock gears and 35s with 5 inch lift shouldn't have to many issues

I ran 285 with stock split 3 spokes and no rub on the upper control arm. Everything was stock on my 96 limited.

I'm on 285/75/16s and a 3 inch lift and I get a little rubbing on the upper control arm only when I hit a really big dip also I'm on factory wheels, a spacer is needed
