285's With Tundra 10 spokes?

I wish i had the bigger painted flares, i might like these ones more though when i paint em up and dont have to put stuff on them everytime i wash the truck.
 
why did you need spacers? im running 285 70 17s on the tundras and have no issues or need for spacers. i see you are running the nitto trail grapplers, thats the tire i want to go to when my bighorns wear out.
 
they wouldnt go on due to the upper control arm. these tires are huge, and dwarf my buddies 285 bfgs, youll definitely need a lift to run these... ive got 3 inches and im worried about rubbing, ill probly end up doing a small body lift next month.
also, the guy at the tire shop said they make the 10 spokes in an offset that sits deeper than the ones i have, hadnt heard anything about that? thought they were all the same opposed from the color diff from sequoias and tundras.
 
if anything the offset on these tundra wheels set our wheels out further than stock wheels. well i guess ill be getting a lift before tires then. and i guess ill have to get a set of spacers too dang. maybe if i go with the lightracing upper control arms i wont need the spacers? did you just need the 1" spacer?
 
idk, i think the 6 spoke stockers have a little more offset than the 10s but not much... id definitely lift it, ill see on sunday how the 3 inch lift and 1.25" spidertrax do....

our wheels sit in closer than stock

I am sure most UCA's eliminate rubbing without spacers

i love it! had to do very little trimming.. the thin black plastic that covers the pinchwelds in front of the doors, cut that back and thats all she needed...

i wanta see some pics during the day time, i think im sold on those tires. guess ill have to get a set of spacers, i think im only gonna go with 1" though.

the kid: pretty sure spidertrax only does a 1.25 but i could be wrong. ill get her cleaned up on turkey day and take a few pictures.
 
So Im actually having the same problem. My trucks getting lifted as we speak. I bout a set of 285-70-17s that i was going to swap over onto my factory 17's. Do you think I will need wheel spacers? And this may sound like a stupid question, but when you buy spacers, you get 4 right?

Normally they come in pairs.
 
no they are not 100% necessary(meaning not every one has to use them), but that depends on the tire. i am running maxxis bighorns 285 70 17 and do not need spacers, and i have some room to spare(also not lifted) but there are some guys who need wheel spacers to fit the tundra wheels.

yeah the smallest spidertrax makes is a 1.25" spacer, but all-pro, and trail gear both make a 1" spacer that will work.
 
Depending on if you have a Limited or not you might want to go ahead and get the 1.25". I heard those make the tires almost flush with the flares.
