Why? I have run 3 sets on 2 different 4runners. Close to 150k miles with not a single issue. I will say, they lose some wet weather performance after about 40k

I have them on my FJC and my 4Runner. They are a good all around tire.

I have a set of the 285 Falkens and a new set of Methods in the shop now. Just waiting for new TPMS sensors and I'll mount them up. I did a lot of research before pulling the trigger and the Falkens seem to be held in very high regard. I have also had great luck with the General ATX's on the truck now. 30k on them and maybe 1/2 worn. I've had numerous sets of the BFG's also. Never had an issue with them. I did run Coopers on my last Tacoma and they were OK but not great.

BFG KO/KO2s were the only tire I ever bought for the 9 Toyota 4WDs I’ve owned.
My last two sets were installed on an 07 T4R Sport 4wd V8 and a 2000 Land Cruiser. They both wore like complete crap. Rotated/balanced at every oil change at the Toyota dealer.
Now I have two 5th gens and figured it was time for a change. The Falkens have been great so far.

I’d trust a recommendation for Coopers from the CO and TN members vs the Falken recommendation from FL. No offense FL you guys just have too great of weather down there. MA is another beast of climate.
Have you taken a look at the Toyo Open Country A/T III. They come in a c rated tire now weighing 55lbs.

I went with the Coopers. Went from a C load 265s then to C load 285s, both in KO2s. The 265 did amazing, lots mileage, performance in snow and rain, great. Lifted truck. First round of C load in 2018 from BF Goodrich 285, maybe 20,000 miles. Had a good slide in rain, first time that happened and I read in the forums low mileage in the c load. So I said “new tire time.” With the wear I had, I asked myself should I transition to an E Load. I’ve been down that road before and my ride went straight to shit, very harsh. I picked the Coopers with the certificates at Discount tire. 65,000 mile warranty I believe. They ride amazing, quiet if not same as my KO2s. E load did say “suck it” with the gas. It’s a plus for me, they offered raised white letters. Didn’t get any snow, but it never really gets bad in Virginia Beach. I heard they’ve since changed the compound in KO2s c load in 285s.

I have C-load KO2. I'll have to say, the wear hasn't been very good. A buddy of mine had E-load K02's and got 55k. I may get these tires next time.
