I know there are threads started but i was wondering what the best way to lift my 4runner 3 inches to clear 285 70 17 terra grapplers. My 4runner has a lot of sway from the 2 inch top out spacer i have i think becuase front is higher than back . im looking at burtman/ cornfed, bilstein 5100s(i was going to use my existing 2 inch spacer with the 5100s set at 1 inch to achieve 3 inch. i am running stock 17s so i am purchasing spidertrax. if i go with the cornfed 3/1 i am putting medium or heavy duty rear spring for the body roll in back. any ideas? and does the coil lift any? thanks! i am looking to order everything tonite

Should i run just the cornfed 3/1 and old emu medium spring? or the bilstein front adjustables and emu spring in rear with the 285s

my man i used to run the set up you want to have!!!! Bilstein c475 adjustable shocks set to .85" and about a 2" spacer on top....

i used to have my bilsteins set to .85" and a 2.25" readylift spacer on there and it lifted me above 3" and i had no body roll at all and the ride was a tad stiffer but you want it to be if your going to be lifted that high

i also recommend buying the toytec superflex rear coils 2" of lift then a 1" rear spacer to go on top of that.. for 3" lift in the back

i switched out my coil spacer in the front for some taller coils back this summer but still run the bilstein height adjustables and by superflex coils and spacer in the rear for 3.2" lift up front 3" in the back IT LOOKS BEASTLTY!!!!

however you WILL need the spidertax to run 285 tires no matter what...
im running 285/70/17 cooper discoverer STT's and i had to trim the front fender and remove all my mud flaps

i can send you pictures of my set up from before i have many of them,, im more than happy to help sense i had so many choices/problems trying to get my runner to the right lift

get

bilstein c475 shocks up front ( set them to about a 1")
a 2" coil spacer

in rear
OME 895(will be alot stiffer) (softer is superflex coils) both lift 2" and 1" rear spacer

youl also need new rear shocks... i have bilstein 5125 rears

spidertrax wheel spacers are a must!

Andymans setup seems pretty complicated. I dont see the need for OME springs, bilstien adjustable 5100's AND cornfed spacers. Just get coilovers and be done with it. Or some new springs and Bilstiens in the front and springs and a spacer in the rear. Check out toyteclifts.com.

thanks

can u send me some pics man! thanks very much i tow a trailer a lot and i was wondering if ome is better? I am just gonna keep my 2 inch spacer that i have now and bilsteins if you think thats the best way to go? should i get diff drop?
