2nd gen door locks

I did search and didn't find anything so here goes.

OK, first problem is that the door lock/unlock switch doesn't work. Also, when I switch off ignition the doors automatically lock. If one door is open when ignition is turned off the doors lock/unlock.

Any ideas how to fix? Thanks.

In the '92 FSM, this is on page BE-66 (Body Electrical). Offhand I would guess the Door Lock Control relay, but run through the different things, like if the key can lock and unlock the doors, and if the passenger lock and button works. If not the relay, maybe one of the lock motors isn't working, and so it fails...though I would have expected it to fail safely, to unlocked.

The year might matter here. The lock/unlock behavior might be different, as I don't think mine auto-locks/unlocks based on the engine being on/off like out newer minivan does.

hi people. I have a proble. my 4 runner 2nd gen, unlock by the key or from button. but it doesnt lock. I have remove de control door relay an check. I see that wire 3 seems to be ok, but lock number 4 i can have continuos... Iwould like to fixit but I have no idea...I think to put a new wire but I dont know how to remove the original one... Also Im following a diagram wiring that I foud...but on the control relay it sais that on that socket has a lot conection but on mine... there is not... any idea....

If you could tell us the exact year and other details about your truck it might help someone help you.

Also if you could post some pics of what you have and the diagram you are using it would help.
