The FS bike is my Santa Cruz Superlite. It's built up with a SRAM X.9 and X.0 drivetrain, Race Face crank,Formula R1 brakes, DT Swiss Hugi wheelset, Thomson hard parts, Fox Float RC shock and RockShox Reba Team fork. It serves well as my general use, XC and trail rig.
The rigid in the picture is my buddy's 1993 GT Zaskar LE built with a mix of modern Shimano XT and XTR components and some old school bits to keep it unique. It is one of his 13 bikes, so I can't comment as to what special niche it serves in his stable.

Hey man, I like the color of that 4Runner and your bikes.
How big are the frames on those bikes? My buddy and I are heading up to Big Bear for some downhill/dirt jumping next month and I want to fit the bikes upright in my truck like yours.
BTW: I got a 19" Iron Horse Yakuza Chimpira and my buddy's got a 13" Black Market Riot.

The Santa Cruz is a large (20" seat tube) and the GT is an 18" I believe. Truth be told, I had to suck the fork down on the Santa Cruz in order to get it to fit vertically; luckily my Reba is U-Turn equiped and I just twisted the adjuster down to the 85mm travel setting. In my case, the Hollywood fork mounts add about 1.5" in height and the cardboard they are zip-tied to adds another inch. If all else fails just lay one down on its side, toss a blanket over it and put the other on top of it.
Oh, and I have a sunroof which steals another inch or two of headroom from the front part of the cargo area which is why I had them turned around facing the rear. If you don't have a sunroof you might have enough room to face them forward with no issues.

thats awesome, i want to build a bike soon
i ride a GT Force 2.0, mostly stock with SLX components, only thing i have added is some gold HT slim flat pedals. i love it and it comes in at around 28.7 lbs. its my do everything rig, it has fox float in rear and fox float 32 up front with 140mm of travel, im about to upgrade to a 2010 fox 36 160mm or the new rock shox revelation 150mm. cant decide, but rock shox is cheaper and lighter, and only 10mm shorter. its winning so far haha, its my 5th bike, and first full suspension. yes i graduated from having a sore butt at the end of a full day of riding haha

Here is my 1995 4x4 3.0 auto with 116,000 miles. Put some big foot AT's and debating what will be next to mod. Will be getting the windows tinted and silverstar ultra lights.
