2nd row seats won't fold down. latches got stuck need help

Hi guys !

2 months ago I removed my 2nd seats .
I storages them in the garage but today I put them back . so I put back all nuts and than folded down single seat (locked in with no problems) than I tried fold down double seat and there is a problem so I looked at this and both safety latches (hooks) are locked ! I pull the knob to unlock them but they are still locked . my seats are not safe to use for now . Please give me some tricks how I could unlock that

Worst case is you may need to take it to your dealer or a local upholsterer in Edmonton.

If bent on fixing yourself, maybe you can find something that you can put inside the closed part of the latch (in your picture) that can be used to start gently prying it apart, like a large screwdriver blade, and then at the same time push the button on top to unlatch it. Or the opposite: try gently pushing the latch mechanism as if it were closing a little tighter while pushing down on the button on top to unlatch. Resist the urge to use to much force! Just an idea.

you might have to put a screw driver in there and put some pressure on the latch, when you hit the button. they might not be spring loaded, and need some help to release.
