Columbus can still get a lot of snow but generally it is manageable. I am originally from the Cleveland area and prefer a 4WD up there but your 2WD should be able to get you through the city streets with the limited slip. They generally keep the main roads clear but secondary roads will get taken care of after the mains are cleaned off. The good thing is that campus is there and they make it a priority to keep everything clean for everyone to get to their classes. Are you living in the city or on the outskirts? It will be the ice that you will have to watch out for. Just remember to take it easy on the brakes and try to stay in the whell tracks of other cars. When you try to switch lanes and there are ruts in the snow is when you can get in trouble because your car will be wanting to get into the path of least resistance and could cause a fish tail or plowing of the front wheels.
