By the way, i am running Grabber A/T 2s, 25,000 miles and they are a very good choice. They still have all kinds of tread, probably 50%, but i am wanting to go with the Falken M/T just because i like the more agressive look, i just can't seem to be able to wear these Grabbers out. Lol.

Ok well I am not one of those people. I don't judge how many wheels drive a vehicle as it makes no difference as long as the owner is happy.

Yeah thats me in a nutshell. I don't wheel (obviously 2wd) and I bought this truck b/c of the looks. I always liked the 3rd Gen. It would have been smarter for me to buy a Gen 4 based on my usage but....I like what i like.

Exactly. Drive what you like and leave it at that. I just don't see the need for really aggressive tires if you're mainly on the street. Not saying being on the street is bad or should ever be looked down on because it's just a vehicle.

So I ended up with Toyo Open Country AT2's. They look awesome but have a slight bit of hum above 60mph. Its not bad now, but I can hear it even with the radio on. How will they be after 10 or 20k miles? More quiet than my severely worn Goodyears.

The cool think about Toyo is they give you 45 days or 500 miles to evaluate the tires and if you don't like them, you can get a full refund. That gave me peace of mind to try the "quietest all terrain tire" out there.

I will drive on them for a week at highway speeds and report back.

2002 Bone Stock SR5 on 15s

Hey guys, I have been all over the place and SHOCKING, the info is conflicting. Like the OP, I just bought a 2002 bone stock SR5 with 15" OEM wheels. Will 31x10.5 rub? I am looking at the Michelin Defender LTX. I don't good off road hardly at all so mainly worried about rubbing in the turns.
Any input would be great.

Can't argue with this - have had 2 sets of them on mine - but just put new rubber on mine and went with the Toyo Open Country HT. So far I love the way they ride on the road, yet to be determined on longevity. They were about $200 less than the Michelin.

I run these as well. Nice and quiet.
