ok everyone.. I'm doing a little research. I have a solid built regular cab tacoma but it's too small to fit me and the two kids with car seats. I want to keep the shorter wheelbase and we already have a stock double cab. The double cab is too long for wheeling where I do plus I like the shorted wheelbase. Anyway I also like the 3RZ engine. I know it doesn't have much nut in the 4Runner so I want to supercharge it. What I'm finding is most 3RZ 4runners are 2wd. Through all the conversion research and the number of times I've have the tacoma apart I'm not worried about any mechanical part of the conversion. I'll start with a 3RZ with a manual transmission. And find a tacoma w59 transmission and transfer case. I have a full manual hub front end so I don't need to wire anything for the ADD and I don't care if I don't have a 4x4 green light on the dash. The only question I'm really not finding an answer to so far is the speed sensor. Most people are doing auto 2wd to manual 4wd with harnesses changes so I haven't found my answer. I'm pretty sure on the 2wd the speed sensor is in the back of the transmission and on 4wd it's on the t case. Is this going to be as simple as unplugging the one from the tranny and plugging in the one in the t case? Is it this simple? Do I need to extend the harness to the sensor? Thanks for your help.

What year 4Runner, and what year Tacoma?
Most Tacomas have a speed sensor on the transfer case.
Most 4Runners use either the ABS or the Transmission for the speedo.
You're going to need a Tacoma Speed sensor, which should be on the back of the transfer case already. Wire it into your dash, like below, then add the Dakota Digital Speedo Calibrator, and adjust the speedo from that. Awesome for when you change gears as well.
