3.0 2nd gen- 18MPG

I don't remember the direction exactly. Tightening it leans it out a little, so whichever way tightens the spring. Just mark the initial notch in case you want to go back, or the next owner wants to go back.

I also tried the flamethrowers. One never worked right and neither did the two replacements they sent out. I ended up putting back in the stock injectors. I think what made a big difference for me, hesitation wise, was replacing the fuel pump. I know one of my injectors leak because the pressure drops at the rail as soon as I turn the truck off. So I just made a primer button that engages the fuel pump and prime the rail for about 10 seconds before starting and Varoom! she starts right up.

Interesting. Mine doesn't really hesitate it just sucks MPG wise on the highway (the dude with the VW engine will probably walk in here and take a dump on all of us who don't have the knowhow or $$$ to get a VW engine in our 'runners). It smells rich, very rich, at the tailpipe. I think regardless of what injectors I replace my original ones with, I'll get more power and maybe more MPG. The OEM ones just blob up and are probably worn.

Question on the flamethrowers: how long ago was that? Yotatech praises the sets they get.

do you have a functional clutch start system? if you do, no need for the button. just keep your foot off the clutch, turn key to "start", wait 5-10 seconds, then push the clutch pedal (without releasing the key - keep holding it at start). as soon as the pedal hits the firewall switch, the starter should operate and start your engine.
