I got a 1994 four runner, needed something so I bought it for 600$. I've done work to it such as oil change changed out the spark plugs figured out the mass air flow sensor fix a power windowalso changedout the battery terminals to find out I needed to change the wire running to the fuse boxfigured that out from your site now I blew a hose to my rear heater so I change that and now my thermostat that I see inside of my - runs up and down never really fully hot butt gets really close laugh out loud anyways I figured I would need to change my thermostat but then I'd want to do a flush on the coolant water pump and radiator. thoughts...

I concur with that ^^^^ Sounds like you got air in the system and now your radiator is low.
