3.0 question

I am replacing my head gasket and was told to use studs instead of the bolts when putting the new heads on.any advice would be great

I suppose you could if you wanted to. But the headbolts are not a weak point.

I'd stick with Toyota factory head gaskets and new bolts. Follow the factory installation procedures, and you should be good for a long time. Make sure to have a machine shop check out the heads (warping, cracks, etc..). Best of luck with it.

Ya I took the heads to the shop today and ordered a big list of parts

Is the engine out of the truck? I don't think you will be able to get the passenger side head on with studs.
