I drive my 4runner ~3 months out of the year (winter) or to haul stuff, go hunting etc... Basically I don't really want to stick much $ into it besides maintenance repairs.
That being said, I wouldnt mind having my phone connected to the stereo so I can listed to some music. I was hoping someone had figured out a way to rig up a 3.5mm connection to the stock head unit however I didn't really see a thread for it. Likewise, I'd consider dropping a little extra for bluetooth but again most seach hits are related to aftermarket stereos.
I tried searching some places on the internet and found an adapter that connects to the Changer Port on the back of the Radio:
Amazon.com : Select Toyota Models iPod iPhone 3.5mm Adio Input Auxillary Aux Adapter Integration OEM Factory Stereo Radio : Vehicle Audio Auxiliary Adapters : Car Electronics
Has anyone tried one of these? Does anyone have any other recommendations?
