3 car wreck and my 4runner wins

So this girl age 20 doesnt pay attention runs into a Explorer doing about 60 in her 05 Mustang, Explorer launches in to my new 4runner.

long story short i have minor rear damage havent looked under it but i can tell its there. Mustang is totalled explorer is totalled and i got minor undercarage damage and need rear bumper replaced. Then today i noticed my rear door doesn't open like it used to.

Before i could pop latch and it raised itself now i have to lift it up.

So my new baby is all beat up. Sucks still has dealer tag and new car smell.

Now Monday off to dealership to get estimate on how long it will take to fix it.

i tell you one thing i won't settle until it works/looks like that day i drove it off the lot.


Ps: Minor sorness in back and neck and i still feel worse about the car then me

Explorer that hit me. can of kind of make out were Lic plate is puched in pretty bad and angleded down slightly.

Lots of damage on rear just foget to take that one.

Our trucks are designed really well and hold up to crashes. Makes me feel better driving. Glad your ok!

The front cars of a 3-car pile-up usually come out with little damage it seems, perhaps becuase the energy of the impact is absorbed by the other two cars.

I was in a similar accident a few years back in my Jeep. In my rear-view I saw this guy in a minivan just coming at about 40mph and thought "he's going to hit the car behind me". Sure enough BOOM. Minivan hood folded, honda civic in the middle was squashed and totaled, and my jeep was barely scratched. Seems the honda absorbed most of the impact.

When the cop arrived, the driver of the minivan had the nerve to say he tried to stop but his brakes didn't work. Yeah right. The lamest excuse I ever heard, especially with a late-model car.

Still, it's good to know that the 20 year old in your accident will have 10 years of astronomical insurance bills for her inattention (and hopefully mommy and daddy don't pay them). I guess accidents are a right of passage for young drivers these days. Hopefully it makes them better drivers in the longer term.
