3" Lift

Hey everyone hope this helps those that are trying to lift their 4runner. This is my first post and I want to thank all those that spent the time to post also. I used a lot of that info to help me with my final lift setup.

I spent hours researching and had both a daystar 2.5” spacer lift and OME 3” lift. The spacer lift was closest to the stock ride quality. The OME was too harsh a ride and only lasted about 8 months on my 4runner.
So I went with the ToyTec’s 3” coil lift. I installed the coils on the lowest settings on the B 5100’s that was recommended by Toytec and I did get the full 3” lift. So here is the setup I went with and the ride is great I’m not going to say it is the same as stock because I think it is actually better.

I did read a few postings regarding the Toytec coils being too stiff but after further research it turned out that some of the people installed the purchase upside down. This would be like setting the coils on the highest perch and compressing the coils far too much.

Here is what I’m running on my 2000 Limited 4runner.
BFG All Terrain K02 305/70/16 new from BFG:thumb3:. Love these tires look great and ride great.
2” Roger Brown body lift
ToyTec Diff Drop
Toytec 3” Coil lift with Tundra Bilstein 5100’s I believe these coils are made by Eibach for Toytec.
Parts List
Front Coils Part Number 112-620
Front 5100 Bilstein Shocks/Strut Part Number D558 5 position adjustable.
Rear Coils SuperFlex Part Number 024RCB
Rear 5100 Bilstein Part Number 9602E703
Bilstein Replacement Shock Bushings E4-B46-248B needed these for the lower rear shock mount. Had to press the stock ones out and press these in.

Yeah but the 305's would not fit without the 2" body lift. Thanks:thumb3:

Truck looks great. I'm thinking of installing a 1 inch body lift when I install my 3" lift, just to really bring the truck up in the air. I may hold off and see what tires I do end up installing first.

Good looking rig, and I like the wheels you chose as well. Classic look.

Awesome. I too am not a fan of the body lift gap but that could probably be easily solved.

I am collecting the parts for a very similar lift -bodylift.

Gap is not that bad actually. If you need the extra lift for tires the body lift is best way to go.

His truck looks great. I love 3" with 1.5" or more body. IMO 1.5" is perfect but it looks good.

305's are just as tall as 285's. Lots run them without body lift, now clearing control arms is something different.

I love the look of your truck. Im running close to that lift with some more out back, 1.5" body and 305's. People love the look of my truck. Amazing how a little wider tire helps the over all look and performance.

I took her out this weekend, little rub but nothing I cant live with. My tires took me up some rutted, wet inclines with boulders and rocks with ease with open diffs as where some locker guys having issues.
