3" spacer and OME springs=5" lift?

Hey Guys Im wondering if i could use both the 3" spacer and a 2" spring together. Will this require anything else? I was thinking OME shocks at the same time too as well as the front differential drop and front sway bar relocate. I am also thinking about the 4crawler 1.5" body lift.

What do you guys think about this? Will this be like a 6" lift?

Do you have 4wd? If so, you are going to run into some problems with your CV angles if you crank it up this much.

Also, I have read that it is bad to mix OME and spacers, I don't remember why exactly but will try to find it.

What is the purpose of this lift? Looks, off roading what?

Yes Im 4wd. Is there a way to change the angles? sorry Im new to this.

I do a fair amount of offroading, plus I like the look too.

I love the look of big lifts too. There is not too much you can do to improve the angles, if you do go for such a big lift be prepared to deal with a blown CV boot .

One of my best friends, Josh, had the same question after he got his front coilovers on and it was dialed into around 5inches of lift.

Back yes, front no. I run the rear OME 3in HD spring and a cut down spacer in the back. I cut about and inch off the Revtec spacer. It just sits on top of the spring.

I want a bit more in the front but just not sure how to do it low buck?

ive now just been thinking i will switch to the 3" front and get the 1.5" body lift kit. I think that will be plenty of height for me. I want some 285/75/17's under there.

I applaud your efforts to maximize your lift. I have been trying to figure out how to lift my 4R for some time now. Im sorry but the 3/2 cornfed lift, just doesnt do it for me. I am counting on time being on my side...in other words the longer I procrastinate on lifting my 4R the more lift options will become available (crossing my fingers).

Rough Country's or Pro Comp's 6" kits can be fitted to the 4R. Not sure how to adress the rear end if that's much different on the FJ.

No, 6" lifts use drop brackets to lower everything.

I guess you have to kiss your XREAS goodbye with this setup? I asked one of my local 4wheel store and they said they can do either a tacoma/FJ lift up front and then custom fabricate the back lift....sounds $$$$$.

The rear is easier than the front. All you need are taller springs, longer shocks, longer brake lines, and extended swaybar rods.

The springs and shocks can be the OME for the Land Cruiser (NOT FJ Cruiser). The brake lines come from Slee Off Road. And the swaybar extenstions come from WabFab.

Now the rig looks like a Stink Bug, until you do some type of chop and lift kit up front.

The typical 4Runner OME lift is a more comfortable ride, and enough room for the 285/75R17 tires. A body lift will provide a little more room, and more difficult entry/exit.

You will need 0mm offset wheels, or 1.25" wheel spacers (SpiderTrax), and a front end alignment. It would also be a good idea to replace the upper control arms (front) with aftermarket equipment to increase caster adjustments.
