3" Spacer Lift Kit Questions

I'll be getting a spacer lift kit soon and I've been looking at the 3" with the differential drop on Toytec. Link It's the top one, part number RUN3-DR. Does anyone have any suggestions on this? If I bought the kit would that be everything I needed? Also, can I use a body lift in conjunction with this?

Well I had another companies spacer lift, and have seen the Toytecs spacers in person, they are very high quaility, light weight, compaired to my old spacers, and fit sooo much better to the springs.

thats all you really need, but some say to get the Diff. drop kit. I ran with out for about 2 years, with nor problems, but I went ahead and got one about 2 years ago, just real cheap insurance.

can I use a body lift in conjunction with this?
yes.

do the spacer kit front and coil kit rear so that your rear end wont sag. my man Tommy (slick858) on YT had spacers and a 99 runner and his rear end was sagging so he got the OME 890 coils, I think their is an option to get that setup on toytec.

check it out

I run tundra coils and top outs front and ome 891s rear with a 2 inch bodylift, i have about 41 inchs of clearance from ground to fender well lip.

you also need the sonoran panhard drop bracket

you dont "need" one, but if you do want on, you can make one for ALOT cheaper than $75, for that amount of money you could make 10 lol..
Ive ran mine for about 4 years with out one and ZERO problems.

it will help with alignment, proper tire wear and will keep you from crabbing

to me thats worth the money if you dont have the equipment to make your own

but if you do, dont you dare spend 75! :biggrin2:

neliconcept, in your pics it looks like your rear is hiked up. you have a 1/2 in higher in back or is that how everything settled? i'd like to have either 3 or 2.5 in rear with a 1/2 in less in front, that is if it settles like yours..and i'm most likely going with the spacer/coil combo like you suggested. then possibly a 1 or 2 in body lift. any suggestions what my existing 265/75r16's would look like with the above lift. just curious because the lack of cash means there'd be a lengthy period between lift and aftermarket tires.

not anymore it isnt, that was with coil spacers on 01 coils, now my tundra coils make it level, and yeah it was raking and it wasnt just 1/2 inch, it was 2 inchs of difference.. 39 inchs front with 41.5 rear, now its 41.5 rear 41 front

ill be sure to upload a pic later on to show the difference

yeah 2 inch will clear the 285s but you will need to trim for that much, spacer lift will eliminate the rubbing after both have been done.

like i said, if youre wheeling it, dont ghetto it.

if youre not, then go for it, you wont need to trim too much just to stay on-road.

if you are planning to wheel it like that, you will wanna do some serious trimming to make sure you dont gouge the tires.

i'd probably have to get some details from you guys concerning the trim job when i get the lift. as for the wheeling, i don't go extremely often but if i were to get the bl and 285s i think i can abstain from off roading until the spacer lift. NOOB QUESTION: what does the _ _ _/_ _r_ _ numbers mean? i only speak stupid so i hear 31" and 33". anyways, until i can get my desired rims i'll just be painting the stocks black, guessing 16" rim, i shouldn't have a problem fitting 33s on em should i?

you can fit 285/75s on stock rims, yes.

285 is the width, 75 is the height, last number is rim size.

however, as the width # increases, the height number decreases

so 285/75/16 is a 33, as is a 305/70/16, but a 305/70 is wider.

make sense?

look the sizes up here, it will show you the difference in sizes:

heres another tire size for you

255/75/22.5

tractor trailer truck tires... finally got to see the numbers in the side today.

37.5 inch tire but 9.5 wide

haha if yall pay for em ill stick em on. is there a m/t option that has considerable on-road durability?

and i read on some bl writeup that a 1" would be enough for 33s. does anyone have a picture of a 4r with stock suspension and a 2" bl? i want to make sure it doesn't look to goofy

a ne4roc member has a 2"bl stock otherwise (incl tire size) -- see attached img

a 1" bl is NOT enough for 33's. i have a 1" BL with a 2.5" suspension to clear 33's.
