300,000 miles!

A big “shout-out” to my work/travel companion ‘Mr. T’ (Toyota 4Runner) who just passed 300,000 miles on the odometer today. Looking forward to where the road will take us in the near future.

Bought em' brand new back in 1998 and only had to replace the following: water pump, 2 batteries, couple sets of tires/brake pads, new vortex muffler, windshield, front bushings for the sway bar and new oil every 5,000 miles. Still need to remove the running boards and install the sport hood and 17 inch tundra wheels/tires which are collecting dust in my basement.

I'll be joining that club in about 6months or so in my '96. Congrats on the smart purchase all those years ago and enjoy the next 300 thousand.

Ha, love the PBR-on-the-hood shot. Imma do something similar when I get to 200k here pretty soon.

So, only a couple sets of tires? Surely you've replaced more often than that.

Great job on keeping Mr. T in top shape. Its always good to hear about the longevity of T4R's time after time.

Good choice on the PBR's also.

wow congrats, Don't know when I will see those numbers I'm only at 112,000miles, Always great to hear about reaching significant "milestones " :bigok:

Looking forward to this as well! just hit 152,000 two nights ago and decided to take a pic.

Congrats! Would never guess it had that many miles on it from the picture. I see your license plate is from NE but your profile says your from TX. I'm a fellow Nebraskan BTW and it's nice to see another owner on t4r from here!

300k is a great milestone, well done! My sisters truck (a twin to yours) has 260k on it and runs like new. It's funny (and sad) how many people think all cars are junk after 100k these days.
