300k daily driver

That's great! My old 3rd gen made it to about 260k before one of the rear lower control arms rotted off the frame. I had sold it 3 years prior to a family member who then sold it to a friend of mine. Ran great right up until then and I'm sure the parts are still in circulation. My 11 is about to hit 100k. I have LOTS of miles left.

Rust is the biggest enemy for a Toyota. I’m religious now with treating the frames on our 4Runner and Tacoma. I’m surprised there aren’t more threads on rust prevention. I want to get 400k out of our 09 runner and only way is by treating the underneath every year. I’m in NH and road salt is a killer!

Yes! I get 12 spray cans and go to town underneath. I’ve got the hose attachment with the 360 degree nozzle at the end for getting inside the frame. I also like a similar new product by PB Blaster called surface shield. Home Depot has it.

My 300k 3rd gen is the same way ... Looks great from 20 ft away, and looks amazing at dusk haha. People will comment on how nice it is but I have to warn them not to get too close. I've lost most of my clear coat now (in a dotted fashion of course) and although it's pretty low priority, I'm trying to decide if I repaint the same desert dune metallic, or find a newer toyota color to go with ...

Nice looking rig. How's the OME lift ride?

Some have had luck using WD40, I never would have thought of that.

SEASONAL RUST PROOFING using WD-40 only

Yea, my current rig is out of the midwest and the frame is a little rusty. My PNW donor car has an excellent frame (relative to rust) if it wasn't for the front end collision.

I'm seriously thinking about buying a PNW frame to rebuild on since I'm taking the drivetrain out of my donor car completely. Then body swap over when everything is ready. Obviously painting the frame also when it's all exposed like that.

I love the white over black wheels, I have the same combo so might be just a bit biased. The clear corners and turn signals look really nice, might have to do the same on my rig

High Miler-

Congrates, I'm at 340k and change. Just put a bit into for suspension finally. Cheaper to lift than repair or close. I went with the Bilstein option and couldn't be happier. Now for some new shoes, but bigger! Guess I'm invested now so no turning back. Welcome!
