30k Maintenance Service

4SURE

New member
I recently bought a Toyota Certified 2006 4Runner SR5 with 28,000 miles. I was wondering what maintenance work I should get done for the 30k service? I know that in order to be certified they have to go through a in-depth inspection. Wanted to make sure I didn't pay to get work done that I dont really need. I figure I would at least do an oil change and tire rotation. Suggestions?

Thanks

As you've mentioned, just the basics for the most part. Oil, oil filter, air filter, rotate tires, spark plugs and maybe an alignment. You can easily do all this yourself and save some money.

Congrats on the new ride! :worthless:

Plug in here and it'll punch out the Toyota Maint list. http://smg.toyotapartsandservice.com/index.php It may differ from your dealers profit driven recommendations.

If it were mine I'd probably do the axle and t-case fluid just because I like replacing vital fluids early and often...

i just had my 30K service done about a month ago, all they did was oil change/filter, cabin filter/air filter(have AFE so didnt change that), rotate tires, changed sparkplugs.

I actually had to bring back the 4R the following business day since my service advisor wasnt paying attention and didnt replace my sparkplugs, i had to bring it up to his attention.
