There are lots of people running 35" tires, well actually 34.6" but about the same. There are lots of issues that you will run into.
Like higher center of gravity, larger tires cause more stress on cv's so expect to break one expecially with a front locker. Expect a lot of trimming and pounding of the wheel wells to fully flex without rubbing, you may need to lower rear bump stops also which is a good thing to help the shocks from over compressing. Also you will want to regear to get your power band back. Expect to install some front spacers, or new rims, or some aftermarket/shaved strut towers since they will rub on the front without correct backspacing. Ohh and I would go with 1.5" BL or maybe even 2".
