33's and Auto trans issues

So, how much would a regear cost? Any idea?

Talk to LINY4runner about re gearing, (he is the gear guru:guitar2: ) but I believe it's somewhere in the range of $5-600 per axle, so look at dropping about $1500 or maybe more if you don't plan on putting them in yourself.

So running a stock 3 inch lift with no added weight on 33's in a mostly flat area is not so bad? I've been concerned about it. I live in eastern NC, which is almost completely flat in most places, so maybe I can get by with 33's and no gears.

Best bet is go through eastcoastgearsupply.com and get the assembled diffs with gearing of your choice.
Comes out to around 5-600 dollars per diff as long as you don't get lockers done

So 5-600 for each front and rear diff and about 900 for the arb locker. How much for a typical install? Basically just for parts its about 2k?

well when you get them from ECGS they come assembled, then all that's left to do is unbolt the 3rd member and bolt in the new one...could be done easily in your driveway...not sure what you'd pay someone...maybe 2 hours for each diff...about $400
Labor is expensive...get out the junk clothes and tools! :D

Well that works out even better. So it looks like I will be looking to save up quite a bit of change in the following years.
