34-10.50-17 KO2s

Is anyone on here running the 34-10.50-17 BFG KO2s. I am currently running 285/70/17 BFG KOs and am about ready for new tires. I will run the new KO2s but am undecided on the size. Stay with the same size or go to the 34-10.50-17 I am also currently running E rated tires and love the peace of mind of the strongest sidewalls I can get and the 34s are only D rated.

I think Ducamosters was running that size. I've read the BFG 34x10x17 really runs as a true 33...small for its stated size.

Another option is a 285/75/17. Measures 33.8x11.2 usually.

Thank you. I will take a look at his truck. BFG only makes the KM2 in that size not the KO2 otherwise I would definately go that route.

I ran these previously before switching to 285/70s. Height-wise they are a little taller (they're not actually 34s, closer to 33.5s IIRC), and skinnier. Even though they're only a couple lbs lighter, you'll notice the change with better gas mileage due to reduced weight and slightly smaller footprint.

FWIW I changed them since I kept getting punctures, and my tire dealer used my warranty to get a full set of new KO2 since I was coming in at least once a month to get them repaired.

Thank you for pointing me to Ducmonsta. I just read his full report on them. It made my decision easier. Thank you Weeeee you just confirmed that. I will stick with the E rated tires and for that, obviously, I have to go with the 285s.

Or go with 285/75r17s. About the same size with more tire options. That's what I have. No rubbing at full flex with the standard clearance mods.
