At least wait for the price to drop. Those things are so crazy expensive right now. You also need a special 3D DVD/BlueRay player, and I'm not sure, but I think only special made for 3D DVD's even play in 3D. If that is the case, I'd wait for more of those to start hitting the shelves too.

Let them master the technology before you buy.
coz you will have a toothache if after 3 months, a new 3d tv will come up without the need of 3d glasses.
Lol! they say it will cause astigmatism, farsightedness, cancer, migraine and etc. + color blindness :biggrin2: yes they are kidding..but I believe it is not impossible.

FYI, Sony has been having many problems with Their led tvs as of late. The problems are with the image processor board and the back light array. A good friend of mine owns an electronic repair shop and is an authorized Sony repair specialist here in Denver. I stopped by his shop the other day and he said he's got a 5 week back log of Sony led tvs for repair and Sony Corp is 4 weeks out on parts. Being a Sony fan myself I'm bummed.

My uncle has a Panasonic 3D in his living room. The picture is amazing and watching a 3D movie is almost as good as watching it in the theater. I still don't know why they don't use the same cheap glasses that are used in the theater though.
Now, the bad side. I tried watching a college basketball game and could not keep my eyes from watering. I have no problems watching a movie, but I just couldn't handle that particular live event. I didn't try any other sporting events, so I can't say for sure if I was just reacting bad to that game. I did feel pretty weird being able to see depth on the court too.
I really like the 3D technology, but I'm holding out for the no glasses TVs which hopefully will start coming out in a few years.
