What's up guys! Just got my rig back from the shop. Nitro 4.88 front and rear gears are broken in, ARB rear locker is installed, and most of the wiring for the ARB Twin Compressor is complete. I still need to install the manifold for the compressor and route the hosing to the air locker. So far, super happy w/ how the 4Runner drives. I hit about 2500 RPMs around 70 MPH and increased my MPGs (from 13 MPGs on 4.10 stock gears to 17-18 MPGs on 4.88). Excited to finish the ARB Twin Compressor and use the rear air locker out on the trails! Happy Wheeling!

Looking good! What size tires did you pair with those gears?

Interesting to see how much your mileage went up. Was assuming it would (may seem counter intuitive), with the engine having to work less. My mileage has been slipping away as I'm adding more and more stuff, 13-14ish on a good tank around town and hwy, sub 10 when off-road. I tend to keep it in 4lo a lot to help with tranny temps and that may not be needed quite as much with the lower gears...

Currently running 275/70/17s, but will be moving up to 34s once I need new tires.

I was surprised my MPGs went up that much too. I have full armor and a sleeping storage system in the rear and am getting my stock MPGs back on the freeway. As for the tranny temps, I installed a Max TruCool external Trans Cooler and rarely get above 140 TFT on the freeway.
