3M Rubberized Undercoating.

So I've been tired of looking at the stock rust color undercoating that is also peeling off. It just makes the 4 show it's age. So I stopped by auto zone and picked up just two cans of the 3M for $10 a peice.(One can took care of the front two wells, one for the back two) And resprayed my wheel wells with the product. I mainly did this for visual purposes, but it ended up slightly reducing noise from the road aswell. The first picture is a before, the second picture is after about 2 weeks daily driving, in hard rain and just plain old sunny days. It is wet in the second pic but it is just as black, dry. I am very happy with this for only 20$

Looks a lot better! Did you do any kind of prep work for it other than just cleaning the surface?

i love that stuff! i bought a case of it and did the frame on my 95 F150. the only problem that its having is where it was not 100% dry after the power wash, the spray did not stick and has peeled off.

that was 2 years ago and still cleans up very well.

All I did was take a steel wire brush and a putty knife and scrape as much off as possible. Ran it through the local do it yourself coin wash, with the light power pressure washers to get off the rest. And then applied it.

yup, this is one of the first things i did to my truck when I got it, plan on doing much more come spring time though.

Nope! Completely stock. Theyre just wet and look nice and black.
