3rd Gen 4 runner retrofit headlights

I've got a 3rd Gen up here in Toronto Canada. I'm trying to correspond with Rumin-Sport in Russia to get my hands on these headlights. Is that where you got them? Do they have someone who speaks English? How hard was it for you to get them?

Hope you can get it figured out. I just run the standard OEM lights with LEDs in them and working with fixing the high beam indicator and verifying my LEDs are negative triggered and not positive trigged as this can effect the brightness of the LEDs. LEDs are different then your standard halogen.

With complete different units this shouldn't be an issue.

Those Russian ones look pretty crazy. I be concerned of the state police pulling me over and telling me to remove those as they be blinding people. :[

Hi! I bought the headlights and really like them. I am having a problem though with the low beam lights. What bulbs did you use? The ones I found that fit are super dim and hard to see at night.

Great work Mike! Your perseverance paid off, and I'm stoked you got these running.

Has anyone found a bulb that will work well on dim setting in these Russian headlights? I am trying to find a solution so I don't have to ride on 'high beam' all night. Thanks!

Dim lights on Russian headlights

Hi there, I am trying to find a build thread for the Russian headlights from Rumin Sport. I bought them and installed them. I really like the look but the dim is too dim. Can't see anything. If you installed these lights, did you find a solution? I am in need of serious help! Thanks.

Rumin Sport is the company! They speak very poor English but enough to communicate with you. I used a Russian to English translator on google. It was not hard at all and they seem to be very reputable.

The bulbs that come with the kit are most likely not bright enough like you are saying. I retrofitted the headlights to HID, so I completely rewired the internals and replaced the projectors from a website called theretrofitsource.com. The only original part I kept was the headlight housing. I am not sure of any replacement projectors at this time that will replace the ones you are using right now. You could try and take the HID bulb out and take it to your nearest Auto parts store and see if they sell a similar bulb. The Russian bulb just might not be the best quality.

There is a member on here named Brilliant who has a step by step guide on how to retrofit these Russian lights if you would like to go that route. I went this route.
